The Deception that is Kiva
This scathing report is really an outline of the many lies that comprise Kiva. They refusal to cut their ties to Opus Dei is just a small part of their overall failure.

Kiva Circulates A Slanted Survey And The Lenders Are Offended By It.
On August 30, 2013, someone at Kiva sent out a biased survey geared to prove that Kiva's partnership with Opus Dei is not a problem, but that certain members of the "GLBT" Team and the
"Atheists, Agnostics, Skeptics, Freethinkers, Secular Humanists and the Non-Religious" Team are the problem because they are questioning the new program and asking hard questions, and because they find the partnership seriously offensive. I started this blog because many members of those lending teams fear that Kiva will shut down the teams' message boards in retaliation for our challenging the Kiva-Opus Dei partnership at Strathmore. Here is the content of the survey that was sent to some of the GLBT team:

Kiva CEO Flannery Fails To Justify Being In Bed With Opus Dei
In his open letter of August 28, 2013, Kiva's CEO makes light of the objections of thousands of Kiva lenders and tries to get them to believe that Opus Dei has no anti-gay and anti-women influence at Strathmore. He strongly insinuates that rabble-rousers on some of the lending teams are causing the uproar over the Strathmore partnership. Here is the link to his letter. To understand the insincerity of his response, be sure to read the comments.

William Lindsey Summarizes The Sad Situation And Kiva's Continued Recalcitrance
On his blog Bilgrimage, William Lindsey assembled a very helpful summary of the alarming situation as of Sept 1, 2013. This is useful for anyone just learning about how Kiva has gotten into bed with Opus Dei and has thrown both its "GLBT Team" and its "Atheists, Agnostics, Skeptics, Freethinkers, Secular Humanists and the Non-Religious Team" under the bus for the questionable personal financial goals of its owners.

Tony Adams Raises Some Questions About Kiva's Desire To Stay In Bed With Opus Dei
Here is the link to an August 26, 2013 article in South Florida Gay News. The objective is not to injury Kiva but to unmask the anti-gay and anti-woman nature of its partnership with Opus Dei at Strathmore University in Kenya and to encourage Kiva lenders to protest that suspicious partnership.
